FINAL YEAR PROJECT

Hello loves!

I was wondering on what subject or which major should I focused on for my final year. I really have no idea where is my strength and where is my weakness. Is it Structure, Material, Environment, Hydraulic, Geotechnic, or what? I really have no idea which to choose and what to do for my final year project which will start this coming semester.

Well, I thought I want to choose Buillding or Construction before but as the registration opens for the majors, the quota is full within few minutes only and I don't even got the chance and finally I choose Structure. That is my major.
For my Final Year Project (FYP), my supervisor is major in structure, seismic and vibration. So, I think, why don't I give it a try and do my very best in any of these 3. All of it sounds interesting. Up until now, I don't have any figure or idea for my FYP's title yet. I thought I want to do something related to seismic, but what can I do? Seismic occurs in the building? because of? earthquake? but in this country (Malaysia), the probability for earthquake to happen is very low. If there is any, it is just the side effect from Phillipine's or Indonesia's earthquake. Vibration? on what and how? I thought of the vibration from the piling works, but end up with my mind diverts to Geotechnic's field. haha my mind is really in a mess and I haven't make any decision yet. I just don't want to feel regret or having problems in the middle of the project and then requires me to change the title or even the whole project. That would waste a lot of time, money, energy and many more.
So dear friends, would you like to help me on brainstorming the ideas for my FYP? your ideas are most welcome and appreciated with lots of thanks and love. God bless~

Practical

Aloha~
Time passed by and I was just realized that within few days more, it had been a month that I already do my internship. I'm doing my 10 weeks practical now at one of the Government's agency. 4weeks done and there are still 6 weeks to go. Wondering how would it be...

BEGINNING~
At first, I was not planning to do my practical for this semester break, but after I heard the rumors that we need to wait for about a year for convocation if we do our practical after our very last semester, than I quickly do my resume and et cetera and escaped one of my lecture just to post my resume to any company or even the Government agencies. Thanks God, I got the reply from this Government agency on the very last minute. Well, few days before the final examination finish is considered as very last minute cause the internship starts right after my last paper (excluding the weekend as the weekend is my travelling time back to hometown). I don't want to delay the convocation cause I need to work and pay back all the study loans which is keep on increasing haha...
Meeting on site

DURING~
Practical? First few days is kinda nerve breaking cause never be in any Government offices before and can't imagine how would it be.Is it hard?busy? bored? tiring? so many question popped in my mind and still, I need to faced it... ALONE...cause I'm doing my internship ALONE. First day, report duty and bla bla bla..I was the only practical student during that time for the Building section but now I already have friends. There are 2 more practical student come and report duty on my 3rd week. During my Diploma's internship, I learned a lot of basics and now, my Bachelor's internship, I'm now more to paper works and how to manage the projects. Slightly different but in the end, it was still in Civil Engineering works. More to paper works, managing and meetings doesn't means that I didn't learnt the basics or anything new on site, I do and besides, I also refreshing the previous knowledge and gained more experience especially for sick projects, for example on how to tackle the problems or how to prevent the unforeseen problems to happen.

END~
Since the internship is not reach the end yet so no comment for this part yet. Hehe...hoping for the happy ending (^_^)

All The Best Friends!
